Hello!
Our theme for today’s meeting was Hope. Phil picked the theme of hope following a celebration of gratitude, and challenged us to think about the events going on in the world today and what is our hope for the future. Naomi gave us a speech with the intriguing title of “Well?”. Well, we have to start thinking about the contests coming up in the new year, and Naomi used this speech to talk about how she will tackle some challenging projects in her Pathways. Yuki takes the prize for Best Table Topics today with her response about her recent challenges and her hope for the future. A big thank you to Phil and Tina who took on multiple roles today and did it with aplomb. The resilience of our members continues to amaze me. Despite a small group, we have fun meetings and keep up with Toastmasters standards as our Area Governor, Vidya Kagan pointed out in her Club Visit Form. Hope can be interpreted in many ways, and Tina closed out the meeting with the thought that hope is not a substitute for action.
