Caution! Hot Content!

In July Robbie Prohaska presented “The K-Cup Craze” speech (Level 1, Research and Presenting). She started to collect K-Cups for her art project and realized that not all K-Cups made the same. She collected approximately 500 K-Cups. Some of these cups have filters, some of them are recyclable with a foil lid, some of them only partly recyclable. She urged us to enjoy our coffee and to consider which coffee we are consuming. If you are using a K-Cup machine please consider the coffee pods that you are buying to try to make them more sustainable.

Our club members were impressed by this research. A lot of companies use K-Cup machines and many people do not pay attention to K-Cup recycling. Also, everybody was ego to know about Robbie’s art project.

Three months passed and we were lucky to hear about Robbie’s art project. In the middle of October Robbie delivered “Caution! Hot Content!” speech. In this speech she reported how she created her show case “Caution! Hot Content!” for Sonoma Trashion Fashion Show 2020. She used K-Cups which she collected, yellow caution tape and some other trash. You can find more details about this art project on Robbie’s website

Live streaming of Sonoma Trashion Fashion Show 2020 is on November 21st, starting at 4:00pm PT. You can sign-up here.  It’s Free this year!
